The Real Ronaldo exhibition
An exhibition designed to honour the 30 year anniversary of Ronaldo Nazario Da Lima, better known as the Real Ronaldo.
Josh Steeples, better known as football culture connoisseur AStoreLike94 curated a comprehensive digital art exhibition featuring 30 football artists from around the world. Each piece touched on a different aspect of the life and career of Ronaldo, from his early days in Brazil and the Netherlands to his stunning performances at the World Cup with Brazil.
Each piece was displayed online in an AR digital art gallery, as well as being sold as physical copies. Proceeds were donated to Gaza.
The work was picked up by publications like HypeBeast, It’s Nice That and Soccerbible.
Not bad.
My two pieces reference the Galacticos Era of Real Madrid, where each season the club managed to add another expensive, high profiled star to their line up. I’ve drawn Ronaldo as an action figure, depicting him as just one of the many collectibles available.
